For the ocean-loving soul ✧

Drawn by the boundless energy and the wonders of the ocean, its' kindness that allows us to ride its magical waves through surfing, I found myself a little piece of serenity from the sometimes troublesome world. At 22, I decided it was time to move closer to the sea.

When I had just started surfing, it was hard to find swimwear brands that could cater to the kind of girl I was: thrill-seeking, carefree, and honestly a bit of old-school. Most local brands designed suits mainly for the beach-goers on vacation, or ones that aren’t durable enough for water activities. And the ones that do, had to come internationally with hefty taxes & shipping fees.

"But why not have it here?" I thought. Us, Filipina women who are so blessed to have the ocean as our playground, deserve to have maximum enjoyment out in the water. To be comfortable, and feel good in doing so.

And that's how it started :)



THE GOAL

Caparica was born to let our souls play with no limits. 

The goal is to be unstoppable and happy. To have a blissful time spent in the sea. 
Our mission is to consciously create swimwear pieces with groovin’ fun and function. 
We understand the unpredictable yet exciting force of the big blue and we want you to be able to go with its’ flow.

It was made to make way for expression 

& enjoying yourself being in the ocean.

We are proudly a Filipino brand! Our swimwear is designed locally and first tested in the salty waters of sunny La Union! Though, we may source out some other materials like fabrics & other accessories internationally for variations and better quality, our suits are sewn and manufactured here.

What we aspire to be

To be born in a generation that has become aware of what needs to be changed, we aspire to be stewards of sustainability. Slowly and with good intentions, we want to fully produce pieces that are made from actual recycled materials to reduce exploiting Earth's natural resources. But to tell you the truth, it is tough and can be tricky to find suppliers that are pure and honest with their eco-friendly claims. And it is just as tricky to keep product costs at an affordable pricing using such materials. 
But so does the saying go, if there's a will, there's a way! And once we find one, we'll make it available to you!

For the meantime, we encourage you to read our Care Guide for tips on how to take care of your Caparica Swimmies! Caring for the Earth, means caring for anything that came from it! We strive to deliver high-quality products because we believe the longer we get to use something, the lesser we need to buy or get something new. 

We produce very limited pieces every collection to avoid mass-production and limit making products that may possibly only end up in landfills or in our oceans.
